On June 10, 2023, members of the delegation headed by Rozukulov Ulugbek Ubaydullayevich, the chairman of the board of “Uzavtosanoat” JSC, visited Turin Polytechnic University in Italy.
Within the framework of the visit, the chairman of the board of “Uzavtosanoat” JSC (UzAvto), Ulugbek Rozukulov, Deputy Chairman of the board of UzAvto, Sardor Tadjiyev, and the Rector of Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent (TTPU), Jamshid Inoyatkhodjaev, held a series of negotiations with the working group led by the Rector of Turin Polytechnic University in Italy (PoliTo), Guido Saracco on cooperation issues between PoliTo, TTPU and UzAvto.
Prof. G.Saracco emphasized the importance of cooperation with TTPU in the perspective of enterprises under the management of JSC Uzavto and their development in the future. Within the framework of this cooperation, he proposed concrete projects for the further development of academic, scientific, production, and re-education directions.
In particular, the establishment of a center for professional development and retraining of professors under TTPU, training of engineers of enterprises of Uzavto on “Industry 4.0” technologies, establishment of “UzAuto Academy” under UzAvto in Andijan, and priority areas such as the establishment of the “Hydrogen Technology Development Center” were defined, and an action plan was agreed upon in the framework of the business forum held on June 6 in Rome.
Also, it was agreed to open new courses in “Aerospace Engineering” and “Industrial Manufacturing Technologies” at TTPU. In addition, it was decided to expand the training of Ph.D. doctors and to introduce a joint doctoral program.
The delegation got acquainted with laboratory centers such as “Industry 4.0,” “Advanced Materials Science,” and “Aviation Engineering” at PoliTo and studied the ways of introducing such centers at TTPU and the UzAvtomotors enterprise in Andijan.
As part of the visit, the delegation took part in the presentation of cars powered by an alternative energy source developed by talented students of PoliTo.
Currently, 152 Uzbek students are studying at PoliTo’s bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. levels. The chairman of the board of UzAvto got acquainted with 30 of these students who came to the meeting and listened to their interests and suggestions regarding the automobile industry.The meeting took place more in a question-and-answer format than in a formal format. The students discussed what should be done for the development of the automobile industry in Uzbekistan.
After the visit, the delegation visited the start-up incubator center “I3P” of PoliTo. The head of this center introduced the startup project that is currently being implemented under the center.
