March 30 — International Day of Zero Waste

Proclaimed by the UN General Assembly in 2022, this day highlights the urgent global issue of waste and promotes sustainable consumption and production practices.

🔍According to estimates, humanity generates 2.24 billion tons of municipal solid waste annually, with only 55% managed in controlled facilities. If not addressed, this figure could rise to 3.88 billion tons per year by 2050.

🌿 Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent calls on everyone to contribute to waste reduction by sorting waste, avoiding single-use items, choosing eco-friendly alternatives, and keeping the environment clean.

📣 Let’s act responsibly for nature — let’s take action for the future!
