ERAMCA project introduces in the Partner Countries an interdisciplinary approach to the complex problem of environmental risk assessment and reduction on Cultural Heritage assets in Central Asia. The project starts with an investigation of the local needs in Partner Countries and transforms those requests into a curriculum of a Master (120 ECTS), a digital library where all the teaching materials (e.g. books, hypertexts, video, best practices) related to the courses planned for the Master are stored and freely accessible by everyone. The project foresees the realization of 4 specialized laboratories for the activation, in each of the Universities of the Partner Countries, of a Pilot Course to test the effectiveness of the didactic project with the users and eventually apply the appropriate corrections that will allow to draw up the didactic plan definitive. The laboratories will remain available to the Universities participating in the project for the systemization of the educational project in the institutional training activities. The UNESCO Office of Tashkent and the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan participate as associated partners to drive the project towards an internationally accepted standard and a real understanding of local needs. They will test if the achieved results will fit the real needs of the involved Partner Countries. The main envisaged impacts are the introduction into the Partner Countries HEIs of an interdisciplinary approach to solve complex problems that are of prominent local interest, the introduction of internationally accepted concepts on Conservation of Cultural Heritage assets, the correct comprehension of the environment actions on the Conservation of Cultural Heritage assets, and the growing up of the skills of a significant group of local teachers.
