On January 6 of this year, a meeting was organized with the participation of Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent and the Republican Scientific and Methodological Center for the Development of Education
During the event, discussions were held on the development of STEM education in Uzbekistan, particularly on increasing the interest of students from general secondary, secondary specialized, and primary professional education institutions in STEM subjects, identifying talented students, and encouraging them. At the end of the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the parties.
According to this memorandum, from February to May of this year, an Olympiad in STEM subjects, particularly in mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, computer science, and information technology will be held in two stages (regional and national) via the testbor.uz platform.
The aim of the Olympiad is to nurture young people who aspire to work in the engineering field, identify talented, capable, and gifted youth, support the development of their creative abilities and encourage them.
