On April 11, 2025, Nilufar Tukhbaeva, Associate Professor of the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering at Turin Polytechnic University (TTPU) in Tashkent, participated in the international symposium “Turkish History and Seljuk Architecture in the North of the Black Sea and the Silk Road” organized by Seljuk University, Seljuk Studies, and Yeditepe University as part of a business trip.

Seljuk University (Konya, Turkey) has taken worthy places in international and national rankings, and is ranked 401–475th in the QS Subject Rankings (2025): Specific Subjects.
Within the framework of the Symposium, he held an official meeting with Seljuk University Vice Rector Professor Dr. Haldun Soydal, Director of the Institute of Seljuk Studies Professor Dr. Musrafa Demirci, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Design of Seljuk University Professor Dr. Rabiya Köse Doğan, Professor Dr. Ayse Gülçin Küçükkaya of Yeditepe University, Vice Rector of Tabriz Islamic University of Arts, Iran Professor Ahad Nejad Ebrahimi, and Professors Farzin Haghparast and Mohammad Jafarpanah of Urmia University.
During the conversation, extensive information was exchanged on the academic activities, education system, research work, participation in international programs and existing infrastructure of the two higher education institutions. It was noted that the fact that TTPU and Saljuk University, Tabriz Islamic University of Arts and Urmia University of Iran are working in similar areas, in particular, conducting scientific research in the fields of engineering, architecture and technology, creates a favorable ground for cooperation.
The parties discussed the possibilities of establishing mutually beneficial cooperation in the following areas:
Establishing student exchange programs;
Organizing advanced training courses and scientific trips for professors and teachers; Developing and implementing joint research projects;
Organizing international conferences, seminars and academic forums in cooperation
Strengthening sustainable academic partnership on the basis of bilateral memorandums and agreements. Professor Dr. Haldun Soydal, expressing his pleasure at receiving TTPU representative at the university, emphasized the importance of strengthening relations between Turkey and Uzbekistan in the field of higher education. Yeditepe University expressed its readiness to establish close ties with TTPU with its experience and capabilities in this area.
