On October 28, 2025, a meeting was held between the Rector of Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent, Olimjon Tuychiev and the Head of the Association for Socio-Economic Development, Farrukh Ziyayev.

During the meeting, the parties discussed developing mutual cooperation in the fields of education, innovation, and economics, in particular within the framework of the “Samsarak Smart Eco-Village” project, covering scientific research, startup initiatives, as well as the organization of internships and practical training for students.

At the end of the meeting, the parties signed the Memorandum of Understanding providing for the implementation of the “Turin–Samsarak Innovation Challenge” startup competition, joint scientific projects, grant programs and student internships.
