On April 8 of the current year, a meeting on the topic “Prospects for Developing Engineering Among Youth” was held at the “Ulugbek” Foundation for the Support of Talented Youth.
During the event, the Rector of Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent, Olimjon To‘ychiev, met with young participants and delivered a presentation on the current importance of the engineering field, modern trends, and promising directions. In particular, areas such as artificial intelligence, robotics, and green energy were highlighted as key drivers of engineering development.

During the presentation, it was emphasized that today’s engineers serve as the main driving force of science and industry, playing a crucial role in creating innovations, solving complex technological challenges, and ensuring societal well-being. It was also noted that the ongoing digital transformation is increasing the demand for highly qualified engineering specialists, making it essential to engage youth more actively in engineering fields.
The meeting also focused on increasing youth interest in engineering through STEAM education, as well as expanding robotics, drone technologies, programming, and hands-on scientific experiments. Information was provided about organizing national competitions in engineering directions such as “best idea”, “best project” and “best invention”, and offering winners internship opportunities in foreign countries.
During the presentation, it was noted that within the framework of “Engineering Month – 2026”, hackathons, startup presentations, master classes, and meetings with international experts will be organized in areas such as robotics, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, drone technologies, green energy, and aviation modeling.
As part of the event, the book “Young Engineer,” authored by Olimjon To‘ychiev, was presented. It was highlighted that this guide is aimed at developing logical and analytical thinking, strengthening mathematical knowledge, and enhancing independent problem-solving skills among learners.
At the end of the event, participants received answers to their questions. The author of the best question was presented with the book.
