An international seminar on “Europe – Central Asia: Training Competitive Specialists for the Global Labor Market” was held at TTPU

On February 12, 2026, an international seminar titled “Europe – Central Asia: Training Competitive Personnel for the International Labor Market” was organized at Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent with the support of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in cooperation with the European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education (ENAEE), the Central Asian Federation for Quality Assurance in Education (CAF), the Central Asian Association for Accreditation of Education (CAAAE), and the Tashkent Association of Engineering Education.

The seminar was opened by the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovations of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Kongratbay Sharipov. In his remarks, the Minister emphasized the priority of enhancing engineering education in line with international standards, expanding international accreditation of academic programs, and strengthening the global competitiveness of graduates in the international labor market.

The event, conducted in a hybrid format, brought together the Rector of Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent, Olimjon Tuychiev; representatives of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan; leadership of ENAEE, CAF, and CAAAE; heads of higher education institutions; faculty members; and industry experts.

During the seminar, participants discussed ENAEE mechanisms for awarding the EUR-ACE quality label in engineering education, national and international accreditation procedures in the Republic of Uzbekistan, strategic directions for quality assurance in education across Central Asia, as well as prospects for expanding regional and international academic cooperation.

This seminar represents a logical continuation of the systematic efforts at Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent to further strengthen its position in international education, enhance the quality of engineering education, and train highly qualified specialists who meet the demands of the global labor market.
