On October 23, 2025, the “Uzbekistan – European Union: Sustainable Energy Days” event was held at the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent. The event was organized within the framework of the European Union’s SECCA (Sustainable Energy Connectivity in Central Asia) project.
The event was aimed at promoting the importance of sustainable energy sources, environmental thinking, and green technologies among young people, as well as familiarizing school graduates with university life and the scientific and innovative environment of higher education institutions.









💠 The event was attended by SECCA Key Expert on Energy Paata Janelidze, Key Expert on Energy Sector Governance Ilze Purina, Expert on Project Event Organization Nataliya Sarsenbekova, National Coordinator for Uzbekistan G‘ayrat Tashmatov, Communication Expert Erik Ilyasov, as well as TTPU First Vice-Rector Alisher Ashurov and 40 graduates from School No. 242 in Tashkent.
🔹 During the visit, the guests were welcomed by the university administration and a tour of the campus was organized for them. They were also introduced to the university’s scientific laboratories, technopark, and international cooperation activities.
Later, a seminar on “Sustainable Energy” was held in the main conference hall of TTPU for school graduates. The event was opened by TTPU First Vice-Rector Alisher Ashurov, who in his speech called on young people to build environmental awareness, apply energy-saving principles, and promote the ideas of a green economy.
💠 During the seminar, SECCA project representatives asked the graduates questions related to the topic. The students actively participated, demonstrating their knowledge and opinions. At the end of the event, the most active graduates were awarded commemorative gifts from the SECCA project.
